Funeral Flowers

Funeral Flowers

Arrangements of funeral flowers come in many different shapes and sizes depending on the deceased and their family’s wishes. We have relationships with a number of local florists and are happy to introduce them or for you to arrange the flowers.

Our florists are knowledgeable, versatile and creative and will advise you on the different wreaths, sprays, pillows or cushions that you may like to adorn the coffin or venue where the funeral is to take place.

If you want to organise the flowers yourself it is usually advisable that the flowers are delivered to us prior to the funeral service so that the coffin, hearse and flowers arrive at the same time.

A Lovely Memorial

A mainstay of most funerals, floral tributes are a lovely way to remember those that have passed away in a beautiful, living memorial. Flowers can hold many different meanings, from love to respect, joy to remembrance. By having bespoke flower arrangements for a funeral, you can make it a truly personal send-off. Whether you choose to have their name in flowers, or a selection of blooms in the person’s favourite colours, funeral flowers are a beautiful, touching form of memorial on the day.

Funeral flowers can be personalised with messages or names, skillfully displayed atop coffins, tables and attached to chairs. They can come in the form of wreaths, bouquets, garlands and more.

Popular Funeral Flowers

When planning a funeral service, your funeral director will likely discuss with you your preferences for floral arrangements, so it is important to consider this when making arrangements. It is an opportunity to consider the types of flowers that should be included, as well as whether or not your loved one would want flowers.

Some popular flowers for funeral arrangements include:

  • Alstroemeria
  • Lilies
  • Roses
  • Chrysanthemums
  • Hydrangea
  • Carnations

Choosing the right flowers for a funeral floral tribute can be difficult, as there is such a wide range to choose from. The local florists we work with will work closely with you to ensure you are happy with the finished result.
